Questions people ask

Is this the same as HireDrive's full resume tailoring?

No. The checker is a heuristic grader — it tells you what keywords and structure you're missing. The full HireDrive workspace actually rewrites your resume to close the gap, using AI, your saved history, and the job context. The checker is free and instant. The workspace is the real fix.

Why do I need to paste both the resume and the job description?

Because ATS scoring only makes sense in context. A generic resume score is meaningless — what matters is whether your resume matches the posting you're applying to. Paste both, and the checker can actually grade the match.

Do you store my resume or the job description?

No. Not on our server, not in cookies, not anywhere. This page is static JavaScript — everything runs in your browser tab and disappears when you close it.

How accurate is the 0–100 score?

Accurate enough to catch the obvious problems — missing keywords, no Skills section, no action verbs, wrong length. It won't catch nuance or tone. For nuance, run your resume through the full HireDrive workspace.

Can I use this with a PDF or DOCX file?

Not yet — v1 takes plain text only. Paste the contents of your resume directly. We'll add file upload soon.

Does the checker use AI?

No. It's pure pattern matching — word frequency, section detection, and known action verb lists. The score you see is deterministic: run the same inputs twice and you'll get the same score. That's by design.

Scoring is the easy part. Rewriting is where Kori comes in.

The checker tells you what's missing. HireDrive's full workspace rewrites your resume to match the posting line by line — truthfully, quickly, and in one click.
